Halloween is approaching soon! I expect the Halloween card making season to climax this week and then go “POOF” before it disappears. I have one more card to contribute to the melee. This card features the patterned paper in panels.
Halloween Night dsp (patterned paper) has many images, both large and small. Using patterned paper is a great way to make a quick card or to use the paper in a creative way. For this card I am choosing to bring together the colors. I’ve used two different pieces of paper that have a contrast color in common: Pumpkin Pie. I have used this bright orange to bring the two paper design together.
For an accent and sentiment, I heat embossed a piece of vellum with Jar of Haunts stamp set and used the Big Shot die cutting machine with a framelit so that the cutting out of this stamped image would be precise. The finished size of the card is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (standard US card size) and the panel pieces are 1″ x 4 1/4″. For a sparkle I placed Rhinestones above the jar.
Here is a supply list of products I used in creating this project. Links are provided to give information about a product or purchasing. Thank you for your continued support!
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Enjoy the upcoming holidays of Halloween, Reformation Day and All Saints Day! Let’s make it together.
Your Independent Stampin Up! Demonstrator
As Demonstrators prepare for OnStage in November, we will all be busily making “swap” cards. For those unable to go to OnStage, they do not get to experience the swap on a large scale. If you would like to participate in an “Across the Miles Swap”, please contact me to sign up. Here is how it will work: You will need to sign up to participate by November 15th. Once we close off the sign up date, I will contact you to let you know how many cards to make for swap. You will get back as many as you send in. If you want to swap one card, then sign up to send in one card. If you want to swap with all particiants, I will let you know how many to make and that’s how many you will send in and get back. This is a great way to share your work with others and to see what everyone else is doing. I do not anticipate this swap to go too big but if it does then I will break us into groups so as not to have everyone make a ton of cards. Are you ready to join the swap? You have until Nov 15th to sign up. Let’s make it together!
