Basket of Wishes succulents for #GDP058

Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project to create a card that fits a certain “sketch”. It’s nice to know, when making a card, what your card layout will look like. Now all I needed to choose is what colors and stamps to use. Being as I have not used the succulents from Basket of Wishes, I thought I would give it a go.gdp058 img_1399

Knowing that I would use the plants in the basket helped me choose my colors. Mint Macaron for the plants would lead me to need a complimentary brown for the basket, so I chose Saraha Sand. Knowing the in would be Sahara Sand told me to use the same color as my card base. So all that was left was to choose a small piece of patterned paper that goes with the plants/basket and card base. This my friends, is how I can up with what piece of patterned paper to use.

To make the scene a bit more cheerful, I used the duckling image from Barnyard Babies to brighten things up a bit. Who doesn’t just love a duckling? I colored him and all of the stamped images with a blender pen. This pen acts as a diy marker so I can use my regular stamp pads for coloring. The sentiment is taken from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I chose a get well wish simply because I don’t have a get well card in my stash at this time. They are always nice to have on hand 🙂

Here is a list of supplies used in making this project, with links you may click to go and get details on a product or purchase. Thank you for your continued support!
