Sitting Here with Textured Square for #GDP056

This week, the Global Design Project Challenge is CASEing designer, Bibi Cameron. Her designs are fantastic in their simplicity, so I decided to make a simple card.  #GDP056

I started with a single layer card base of Thick Whisper White cardstock. This cardstock will hold up nicely on it’own. Using the Layering Square Framelits, I cut out one square with a scalloped edge, which I then dry embossed with an embossing folder.

To ground the scene, I used a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock and embossed the words in white embossing powder. The swing is fussy cut and hung using Linen Thread, then glued to the square for support. I used a few Stampin’ Write Markers to color the sing image and to ink the bird stamp. Accents from Brights Sequin Assortment carry the color through the card.

  1. I know I already said this on Instagram but I really love this project! I love the smaller piece of embossed paper, and I’m always a sucker for sequins. 🙂

    • I thought I had spotted a fellow sequin lover! Thanks, Dena, for your compliments. I seem to see your work and say to myself…. I was just going to do that, but Dena did it better! Glad you like this one. -Jenny XOXO
