The season is changing all around us. Acorns are falling from the clear blue sky, right onto my van. I can hear them from inside my home, telling me they are falling fast and hard! These nutty acorns were the inspiration for today’s card.
As with many of the cards that I make, there is a glimmer of inspiration in my surrounding world. I started out by embossing the stamped images with clear embossing powder, which would seal the stamped images inside a protective layer while I apply water and paint to the paper around these acorns. I used regular due ink stamp pads for color and applied it with my water brush. A normal paintbrush and water will work just fine as well.
The main focal sentiment was made using gold embossing powder on white cardstock which was heat set and then cut out using the Acorn Builder Punch from Stampin Up. I tied a messy knot of gold thread, added this to my card and added small dots of gold glitter glue.
