In this YouTube video, I demonstrate the techniques of heat embossing and emboss resist on watercolor paper. Using these methods, I recently made a card using the Thoughtful Branches stamps. I often choose to heat emboss my image when coloring in with a paintbrush. The embossing creates a sort of barrier that holds the color inside the lines, giving a nice edge to the finished product.
Heat embossing and dry embossing are great ways to give texture and finish to any cardmaking project. I suggest you try embossing for your next project and see how it will integrate into your skill set!
