Today I used many techniques to achieve the look I desired. This was the first time I had

held the set so I wanted to give my card a certain look. I started by white embossing the leaf cluster stamp onto vellum cardstock. Then I used Stampin’ Write Markers in Wisteria Wonder and Soft Sky to muddle the colors, on the SAME SIDE as I embossed. I wanted the colors to look muted from the reverse side, as I planned to actually show that side up on my card 🙂   I die cut the leaf cluster on my Big Shot die cutting machine and used a marker, Pear Pizzaz, on the back side of the stem/leaves to add muted color. Once everything was cut, I adhered them to a piece of Soft Sky cardstock, which was then popped up on Tip Top Taupe cardstock. I added some clear iridescent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as a bit of twinkle and used a sentiment from the Thought Branches stamp set. There are some gorgeous fonts in this set!

The white embossing is muted enough to be seen as highlights, just as well as the markering. The overall effect is subtle and a bit intriguing, which I am happy to say was my goal. Try mixing a few techniques to get a new look and share your results. I love to see your work!

The supplies I used today are as follows:

Let’s make Thoughtful Branches together! Let me know when you are ready to order and we will get you on your way 🙂
