Mission, if you choose to accept
: birthday card, fun fold
For some time I have had this card design in my head. I’ve dreamed about it, thunk it over out loud with the hubby and finally have made it! What an undertaking though! It took me well on a week to make 8 of them (yes, 8!) as I plan to use them as a swap card for a card group next week. Since the Paper Chain Gang Challenge is a birthday card as well, may as well knock it all out in one design. I did have fun coloring in all of the animal images! I suppose that’s the little girl still living in me that wants to grab a marker and color away.
I started with Thick Whisper White cardstock, stamped the images in archival black ink and ink blended all eight cards until I was up to my wrists in ink. Happy coloring! After everything was nice and dry, I cut the cards down to give them shape and used my Stampin’ Write markers to color the critters. I have the big Many Marvelous Markers pack and this is great to get shading with the different color families represented in this pack.
I punched out some balloons, glued on some twine and voila…. balloons floating for a happy birthday party on the farm. Inside of the card there is a tree made from the Thoughtful Branches stamp and die set that will release next week. The size worked out great to fit inside in proportion to the animals. Mr. Piggy is on the inside with the tree, holding the balloon string in his cute mouth. Love these animals!
Thanks for stopping by the blog page today, head over to PCGC on Facebook and post your card too.
Let’s make it together 🙂
